I did this banner for a friend's blog. There's an interview about me, my work and the process of making this banner (but only in portuguese) here. Hope you like it! =)

Sketchbooking!

Ask any of my friends, and you will find out how crazy for sketchbooks I am. Hope you like it as much as me, so enjoy this bunch of sketches =)

Character Design is so funny!!!

EAT THIS! =D

Here are some sketches and works I did recently. Let's go!

First one, This french chef was done for a health program based site. I did three versions at the start and then I was asked to mix somethings here and there from the three options, in order to make the final one.

Remember the Red Hot Chilli Peppers post? This Rock Fan mascot was for the same client, but unfortunately we didn't go until the end with the mascot. But anyways, here are the sketches i did for it. I started the same way, did three different approaches for the mascot, and he chose one, and then I made some posed he requested for the guy. I had so much fun with this one!!! =)

... and here are some character design just for the fun... Oh for the fun. =D The first ones are digital, and the two last guys were done in my sketchbook. the first, the old man in hero suit, was done with red pencil and inks, and the last one, the happy drummer à la McBess, was done with pencil, inks, colored pencils and prismacolor pens. I uploaded two pics of him, one in the original sheet of the sketchbook and one digitally treated in case you would like to see the difference. =)

RADUUUUUUUUUGUI!!!

Just for the fucking fun of it. Oh, how I love Street Fighter. =)

Reddie

This is a poster I did of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, as a freelance job. This was so fucking funny to do, I had total freedom over the process, style, finishing style, etc, which is something really rare to happen. I think the general design of the poster is very simple and could be better, but really like how the characters turned out. I'm uploading some shots of the characters if you want to see it better. =)

WHAT? NEW POSTS???

HOLY GOD!!! THERE'S SOMEONE TAKING CARE OF THIS BLOG AGAIN!!! =D

Hey everybody! Long time no see! If some of you follow my deviantart (http://eduardovieira.deviantart.com/), you may know that I moved from my hometown, Fortaleza, to São Paulo, the biggest city in Brazil, in the end of last year (november 1st), to work as a 2D Concept Artist at Glu Mobile (http://www.glu.com/). What you didn't know is that I'm coming back home in one week. =)

São Paulo was an amazing experience, I learned a lot there, working at Glu. I learned a lot there, both with the work and with all the fellow artists! But due to some personal things, I'm coming back to my hometown, which is something amazing! =D

And now that I have some free time, I would like to come back to my beloved blog and give it some life again! As you can see, I have a new banner, a new signature, and here are some fresh drawings... I'll put a lot of stuff I've been working on, since last year. I'll make this long time without updates worth the wait!

Here are some storyboards I did during december 2010- march 2011, tell me what you think!

Want Moaaaaaar images? Here we go! These happy zombies (oh I like them soooo much XD ) Were part of a brainstorm process for a game I've worked on. Unfortunately, during the process, the zombie idea was abandoned, but hey, I still love these little guys, and i think there's no problem introducing them to you. I really want to pay them a visit and finish these sketches. =)

Some more ideas, some more brainsotorming: This is another bunch of sketches for a rejected project, so I think there's no worries showing them. The idea here was a Bang Bang Dead town, full of funny and charming western ghosts. I really think this was a very good idea that could lead to some amazing game, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Anyways, hope you like the sketches! =)
